ProMAX Tactical The "Turtle" Jacket Level III-A
We call it the "Turtle" as it offers MAXIMUM practical protection, while preserving mobility. (The most coverage you can get in a vest, short of a bomb suit.) You add a couple of pounds of weight, but compared to the Interceptor OTV, it offers much more coverage and protection:
* 2" - 3" higher coverage under the armpit
* 2" more coverage lower on the back
* 4" Over-the-Shoulder Protection (vs. 2" wide on OTV)
* 3" high collars vs. 2" tall

Features:
Front opening jacket style modeled on the PASGT vest, but with more flexible, comfortable and protective Level III-A aramid / Kevlar protection. Overlap front closure for seamless, double-breasted protection.
Certified to the latest NIJ Standard 01.01.05 in Level II and III-A.
FULL wrap side coverage – ballistic panels meet towards the back, with a front-to-back wraparound.
10" by 12" Rifle Plate pockets on the front and back (~25 by 30 cm.). This upgrades the Rifle Plates area to Level III or IV rifle protection. Rifle Plates sold separately.

Level III-A armor provides the highest blunt trauma protection rating in soft body armor. This armor will offer excellent protect against 9mm Full Metal Jacketed Lead Round Nose bullets (124 grain) fired from an SMG at a velocity of 1400 fps, and can be effective up to .44 Magnum Lead Semi-Wadcutter (240 grain) at a velocity of 1,430 FPS. This armor is also effective against all threats mentioned in Level I, Level II-A, and Level II. This armor is the best for very high-risk situations to cover even uncommon or unusual threats. Level III-A armor minimizes blunt trauma injury to allow more effective return fire. This armor is reccomended for those who are commonly put into situations where pistol and even Sub Machine Gun fire is an expected threat.
